The Neuronal Disco goes to Southbank Centre!

  • The Southbank Centre The Clore Ballroom, Level 2, Royal Festival Hall London England (map)

Learn about the molecular behaviours and patterns of dementia through the power of disco!

Join Created Out of Mind resident artist Charlie Murphy and neurological biochemist Selina Wray as they explain the behaviours and patterns of different dementias at molecular level, all through dance.

In this playful and interactive workshop, you’ll be guided around the dance floor with finger lights, disco ball headpieces, an obligatory smoke machine and the odd white lab coat, to create and understand the extraordinary patterns and molecular mechanics of brain cells, all set to dance tracks!

This is part of Southbank Centre's (B)old, a new festival profiling artists aged 65 years and over, who are established in their practice and recognised nationally or internationally for their work. (B)old celebrates great artists who stand the test of time, and doesn't shy away from the issues facing them.
