Skin to Mind

Charlie Murphy took her ‘skin to mind’ video installation to West Yorkshire Playhouse’s ‘Every Third Minute: A festival of theatre, dementia and hope' - engaging the process of her skin cells being transformed into brain cells and offering insights into cutting-edge dementia technologies.

Charlie joined several researchers and artists from Created Out of Mind for an eclectic programme of performances, conversations, installations, workshops and creative activities that aimed to enrich perceptions of dementias, creativity and the brain.

Continuing their award-winning work with people living with dementias, West Yorkshire Playhouse present this first of its kind festival, curated by people living with dementias and their supporters, and acknowledgeing that every third minute in the UK someone will begin living with a dementia.
