Some of the best evidence for the benefits of the arts for people with dementia comes from music practice.

Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) and Methodist Homes Association (MHA) invite you to their Expert Seminar in Music and Dementia. This FREE event will be of huge interest to anyone involved or interested in working with people with dementia using music. Speakers include Created Out of Mind's Seb Crutch and Julian West.

This is an unmissable opportunity to engage with and learn from some of the UK's leading academics, researchers and musicians including Created Out of Mind's Director and Co-Director Seb Crutch and Julian West.

Joining them will be Helen Odell-Miller and Jorg Fachner (Anglia Ruskin University) and Ming Hung Hsu who leads music therapy for MHA. In the afternoon delegates can choose two of six interactive sessions, or if you are interested in practice development and education,  come and discuss how best community musicians can develop skills and work with people with dementia. The latter will be led by Ben Heaney (Delta Violin) who completed FLOURISH, CDAN's professional development course in arts and dementia.
