Created Out of Mind Director, Prof. Seb Crutch joins a fantastic panel of speakers for this Museums Association event, exploring how our rapidly changing society will affect the relationship between museums and audiences in future.
Seb will be speaking about the value of in-the-moment experiences and why taking a “dementia-eye-view” approach can offer new insights about people’s relationship with objects, art and cultural spaces.
This event is a first in a series of seminars that will explore how museum practice will change in the future. Chaired by Tonya Nelson, head of UCL Museums and Collections, the event will look at the influence that demographic, technological and other trends will have on the needs of audiences, including families, young people, older visitors and those with disabilities. Speakers will discuss how museums can deepen their engagement with the public and have a greater impact on their lives.
