Sebastian Crutch will deliver a special seminar on Created Out of Mind in Edinburgh's historic music venue, St Cecilia's Hall. Seb will share some of our key research outcomes, discuss different forms of dementias and how the arts might provide new insights.
He will also explore the impact of dementias which primarily affect not just memory, but vision, language, social behaviour and other skills, and discuss how creative arts activities might be adapted to better suit people's retained skills and senses.
The seminar is for anyone with a professional or personal interest in the arts and dementia, including artists, representatives of cultural organisation, and health and care professionals.
This event is now fully booked, but it is being live streamed from their Facebook page. You can access this here.
This seminar is part of a program of events and activities led by Luminate, Scotland's creative ageing organisation. Their projects bring together older people and those from across the generations to celebrate creativity as we age, share stories of ageing and explore what growing older means to all of us.
