With over 850,000 people estimated to be diagnosed in the UK, we are all in a sense living with dementia. Awareness of dementia is on the rise, but how much are current representations informed by the many, diverse and unique experiences of people living with different dementias and their loved ones?

To mark Dementia Action Week (21st –27th May 18), we invite you to share your experiences of dementia on social media (links at the bottom of the page) using #whatdementiameanstome or by emailing us at info@createdoutofmind.org.

We realise that every experience of dementia is unique and how you communicate it will be also- we welcome words, poems, illustrations, photographs and anything else that supports you in telling your story.

Join us in sharing new voices and enriching the public narrative on dementia.
